Rya Simmons has always done what’s expected of her. Her mother is the Queen of the only group of leopard shifters in the city, and she commands her people with a firm will and strong leadership. Rya is no exception. She does whatever her mother wants her to, including getting engaged to the handsome, sweet, but terribly dull Cameron, the future leader of the prowl.
It’s not her ideal situation, but she has no reason to argue. At least not until she meets Archer, a werewolf who’s new in town, fresh from New York City. He’s different and interesting, and he makes her feel things that Cameron never has. It becomes increasingly harder for Rya to just be friends with him. For the first time she’s considering what it might be like to do what she wants, and how good it could be to have her cake and eat it, too.
