"It doesn't matter how many women touch this body, only one woman has ever touched this soul."
Ryan Pierce doesn’t come from much, doesn’t ask for much, and doesn’t expect much. And he's come to accept that until, Alana Remington. Alana is the girl who struck the match that lit his world on fire. She's the girl who opened his eyes to more. Who made him believe that just because you have nothing, doesn't mean you are nothing. And he loves her fiercely for it. But, just because you come together, doesn’t mean you stay together. One fateful decision rips Ryan and Alana apart and neither of them are ever the same again.
For five years he's regretted that decision, but the deep seeded anger, shame and resentment has kept him from reaching out. And over those five years, a series of moments have spun Ryan's world in a direction he never saw coming. A world ruled by endless nights, infinite women and the name Jack the Stripper. A world, unbeknownst to him, that may just let two severed hearts collide.
Reviews-
Absolutely loved this. Ryan's love and tenderness for Alana is amazing. Ryan's is such a strong character given his crappy mother and the responsibility of his brother. I was hooked from page one. - Goodreads
As a lover of Strip me bare, I was desperate to read ths prequel to find out more about Ryan and Alana...I fell in love with Ryan even more in this book. He's so loyal and loving, but at the same time smoking hot.
This prequel is a heartbreaking read. I'm kind of glad I already know how it all ends, because if I didn't, i think I'd be in tears now.A very emotional heartfelt prequel that needs to be read- This ReadHead Loves Books
I adore these two and was so sad to find out why their love story was cut short. I commend Ryan for doing what he did (even though there comes a time when you just have to accept family will never be what you need them to be and just simply cut your losses), however I find what he did and his actions to be extremely commendable. I loved him, literally fell head over stripper pole in love with this character Marissa so eloquently created. He's got his faults, but they are minor faults and I find that no matter his actions in this book I just simply cheered him on, hoping for him to find his way back to Alana....hence the cliffhanger tag....to be continued in Strip Me Bare. I for one cannot wait to find out what happens with Ryan and Alana. I surely hope there is much more to their love story and find Marissa Carmel's work thus far to be brilliant. -goodreads
