Trouble on the farmChallenges for a young boyThis is a middle grade story, second in the trilogy of Paul O'Leary. Paul has left the hot tropics of Broome in Western Australia for the cold, windy hills of Bolinda, north-west of Melbourne. He still has his dog but this time he has to ride his bike to school as it's a fair distance away and is the only building in Bolinda. It's sheep country and Lassie loves to chase the sheep which go into a huddle every time she comes near them. Paul again joins the scouts and goes on camps but no tennis yet.˃˃˃ Hot summersThere's a fire approaching and everyone has to be able to fight it as they can't rely on the Country Fire Fighters who are busy down the road. The added danger is the rows of pine trees which will add to the trouble.˃˃˃ SheepBolinda is sheep country and Paul's grandad lives next door and runs a few hundred sheep.
