John Lowry is an aging, grumpy, war veteran, viewing life through a haze of pot smoke and booze, in the crumbling town of Entierro, New Mexico. The good news is, he has three friends. The bad news is, his new girlfriend has left him, he’s lost his job, and he's been coughing up blood, but he can't remember for how long.
