I wanted to write this book because I saw many of my students, with excellent results over execution in didactic portion and clinical skills, who were afraid to face the first echocardiography work. Repeatedly, some of them rejected offers of jobs during the externship, claiming that they needed more practice. Therefore, from the sky appeared to me the idea for this book: I want to stop the fear of starting work now in this world of echocardiography.
I have written this book due to the need for information on this subject. It is presented in a format for easy understanding and use for students, graduates, and those entering into a position in the field of echocardiography.
There are several textbooks explaining the complete theory; but my book is all about what the student needs to know immediately after graduation, in order to meet the fundamental base of knowledge and requirements to procure employment in the field.
