Allie had a tendency to ramble when she was panicking and Catherine knew to put the brakes on before Allie had convinced herself that the night was sure to be a disaster. “Slow down and catch your breath, girl.” Allie’s cheeks flushed; she was slightly embarrassed by her rant and had no idea where it came from. She was definitely nervous about the night but she hadn’t meant to give her sister the impression that she was hysterical over it. Maybe she was more worried than she was admitting to herself.“This is your day, Sweetie,” Catherine stroked Allie’s arm, calming her. “You’ve already done all the work; just relax. All you have to do from here on out is pretty much just show up, and you know mom is going to shuttle us from location to location with time to spare so you don’t even really have to worry about that.”“I just want everything to be perfect,” Allie sighed. She knew that she had a habit of micromanaging things that were important to her.“You need to put your trust in God,” Catherine began, “and in Andrew. Sweetheart, Andrew would never do anything to hurt you, either physically or emotionally. He wants so bad to make you happy and he’d never force you into something that you aren’t ready for.”“I am ready! I’m just really, really afraid.” Allie couldn’t believe what she was admitting to her sister. She felt like such a baby.
