Just as things were starting to make some sort of sense, another face appeared over Mavis’ shoulder, presumably belonging to the owner of the third, deep voice. Normally, Will would not have been too bothered by this. However, in this case, the head was a kind of bluish-grey, covered in scales and looked somewhere between a crocodile and a Tyrannosaurus rex...

Will is cold and wet on a geography field trip to Wales. Geography is not really Will’s thing – he likes science much better. His teacher Mr. Frobisher, on the other hand, is very enthusiastic and strides along the mountain tracks, leading the group onwards into the ever-thickening evening mist.

Will is following along in the rear, much more interested in the games on his phone than in the geography, which he can’t see anyway because of all the mist. Then suddenly, through an altogether unexpected and surprising series of events, Will becomes separated from the group and finds himself having to pilot an alien spaceship together with a dragon and some other unlikely characters across the galaxy to capture a pair of intergalactic criminals...

The crew on his spaceship have various unusual talents that help the friends’ adventure, but none of them can actually fly the spaceship without Will’s help. However, things don’t go exactly to plan, and before long the tables are turned, with the criminals chasing them! As their troubles multiply, Will again finds himself separated from the group – and this time he is the only one with a chance of rescuing his new friends...
