Book 9: TRIPOD POSITION
It's Vic's birthday, and Matt wants to do something special. When he discovers his lover has a leather fetish and used to be into clubbing, Matt thinks it'd be fun to go out as a couple to celebrate his special night. Conveniently enough, Vic even still has a box of leather gear in the back of his closet.
When things heat up between them in the club -- and Matt has a few drinks, which always gets him horny -- the two retire to a public restroom for a more private dance. But Vic worries the whole leather scene is a bit too rowdy for his lover. Matt looks damn sexy in his tight vest and boyshorts, and Vic isn't the only one watching his dance moves.
Book 10: LOTUS POSITION
Matt thinks a vacation down the shore would be the perfect toast to the end of summer. When Vic has a few days off from work, the two decide to visit Wildwood, New Jersey, a tourist town Matt used to frequent as a child. Though Vic isn't keen on crowds and would prefer to spend his downtime at home, Matt entices him with the offer of sex on the beach ... and he doesn't mean the drink, either. However, a moonlit tryst on the sand bestows another strange power on Vic. On the boardwalk, Vic's new ability attracts the attention of a young kid, whose delight at discovering a real-life superhero almost leads to disaster.
Book 11: THE ARC POSITION
It's Halloween, and Matt's coworker Roxie has invited him to a costume party on that spookiest of nights. He's afraid he'll have an uphill battle convincing Vic to tag along, but to his surprise, his lover jumps at the idea. Matt chooses a pair of police uniforms for them to wear, and looks forward to a little sexual role-playing once the party is over. Nothing like a pair of handcuffs and a game of good cop/bad cop to get the blood pumping.
But Roxie calls with a pool emergency an hour before the party starts. Because Vic isn't in costume yet, Matt goes on ahead alone. When his lover shows up for the party, Matt's surprised to find he's not dressed as a cop. Instead, Vic's latest superhuman power has created a costume of its own, with comic results.
Book 12: SIDEWAYS POSITION
For Thanksgiving, Matt wants to take Vic home to meet his parents. While Vic isn't exactly looking forward to it, Matt's more nervous than he is. He's never brought anyone home before. Though his parents know he's gay, he isn't too sure how they'll react when they finally meet the man of his dreams -- the heavily muscled, pierced and tattooed Vic Braunson.
Vic thinks it's just Matt's parents he'll meet. But when they arrive home, they find Matt's cousin Anna there with her three young children, all of whom take an instant liking to Vic. Then there's Mr. and Mrs. diLorenzo, who aren't quite sure what to make of their son's lover. And Matt's Nonna, his maternal grandmother, who tends to lapse into her native tongue without realizing it. Imagine everyone's surprise when Vic answers her in flawless Italian.
