“What a Ride!” "Brilliant book! Absolutely loved it!!" "This first book was great. Could not stop reading it" "Wonderful story! Well written"Lieutenant Commander Jason Reynolds has had a string of bad luck lately -- evident by the uncomfortable house arrest bracelet strapped to his right ankle. Worse yet, he’s relegated to his grandfather’s old house and rambling scrapyard. To complicate things, the women in his life are pulling from every direction. But It’s through a bizarre turn of events that Jason is led to a dried-up subterranean aquifer hundreds of feet below ground. Here he discovers an advanced alien spacecraft, one that will propel his life in a new direction. The adventure begins… and with it, new troubles for Jason: The Craing, an unstoppable interstellar threat, is headed right for Earth. A desperate situation goes from bad to worse as the Alliance crumbles. Fortunately, Jason’s unorthodox and impetuous nature seems to work in his favor as he moves up to the captain’s chair. First order of business is to reconnect with his SEAL team compatriots and face this enemy head-on. What's at stake? The very survival of the human race. This is the first in the science fiction adventure series for Scrapyard Ship. Also, note... the complete Scrapyard Ship and continuing Star Watch series is also now available!Reviews:A fun adventure scifi story! An amazing adventure science fiction story that has movie-block-buster potential. Light-hearted and gory, somehow the author accomplishes both things. I do not understand the negative reviews this book has garnered. To be honest, this is one of the most unique action sci-fi books I have read in a very long time. Perhaps, those that read something different and out-of-the-box react in a negative way because they're not used to it. I highly recommend Scrapyard Ship, Scrapyard Ship Uprising. Brilliant!- GeneScrapyard ShipWhen I first got Scrapyard Ship, I started reading it on the bus on the way home from work on my phone. Then I found myself thinking about the book, and then I was reading it during bathroom breaks at work. And then I just couldn't put it down or stop reading it. I ended up inhaling it in about another day! I loved it! It was a great blend of space opera and military sci-fi, and an action-packed page turner that I just could not put down. When I finished it, I looked for boxed sets on Amazon and I bought both full box sets immediately. I also got Starwatch, and Lone Star Renegades (and it's not because I'm from Texas). So I'm sorry Mark, but you're stuck with me, I'm a fan for life! What I loved the most about the book was the characters and their imperfect nature, the technology that no one understood or could use, and the good characterizations of the characters and what they did and said. It was a great mix and an unstoppable action-packed gripper. Mark, I want you to know that I am not a flatterer, and I am a very hard man to impress. I am a freelance writer myself, and I have done some editing. If you had had 50,000 more words, more details on the Lilly and the technology would have been great. And more on Ricket. But I guess (and hope) that this will be forthcoming in the later books (and series). So in summary, I would recommend Scrapyard Ship to anyone that wants a fast-paced rollicking scifi adventure, hard military sci-fi, and great characters, and writing with virtually no editorial or grammatical errors. It was that good. Thanks for bringing it to me, and I'll continue to write reviews as I read the books.Dr. GeoffGreat Military Scifi!I think I have read at least some of this series before, but I was happy to read this again. These are really fun characters and there was a ton of action. I look forward to seeing what they do with the zoo later and what other capabilities they figure out for the ship. I recommend this series.- JK
