Driven by her desperation for cash, Melissa finds herself on the doorsteps of a high-end fertility clinic offering her services as a surrogate mother. Little does she know that the man who runs the clinic wants to use more than just her womb. Will Melissa be willing to satisfy Dr. Rose's perverse desires in exchange for the lifestyle of her dreams?

READ AN EXCERPT:

“I’m looking for a different type of girl,” he continued without waiting for her to answer. Then he paused again, this time to chew the end of his pen. Mel admired his shockingly white teeth and wondered if he was married with children himself.

“What kind of woman?” She finally had to break the silence. Rose was still devouring her with his eyes and something about the way he kept inserting awkward pauses into the conversation had totally undermined Mel’s confidence.

“I prefer to work with surrogates I can trust on a more long term basis,” he answered. “I’m interested in women who have the desire to undergo pregnancy and birth, but not necessarily the desire to raise children, at least not yet.”

Mel had absolutely no idea what he could possibly be talking about at the time and stared at him stupidly, waiting uncomfortably for him to continue. The ice cold air conditioning in his office was making her nipples hard and he could clearly see their outline beneath her silk dress. He resumed chewing his pen and she began to suspect that he was indeed purposefully intimidating her.

“I’m sure you read about the apartment in the ad.” He changed the subject without explaining.

“Yes, I’m actually seeking housing near campus right now. Would this apartment be for the duration of the pregnancy?” Mel was happy to be discussing business at this point. The surrogacy discussion was getting weird.

“Actually,” Rose leaned towards her, “it would be for the duration of your contract.”

Melissa once again didn’t know how to interpret what she was being told.

“So during the hormone therapy, the pregnancy, and the birth?” Melissa wanted to impress Dr. Rose, but she really needed to hear the fine details of the arrangement. She needed to know if and when she had to start thinking about searching for a new place, since her roommate was moving out and she could no longer afford her old apartment on her own.

“That’s what I was getting to, Melissa. I prefer to work with surrogates on a repeat basis. If you’re interested in living at the apartments here, I’d prefer it if you’d commit to several pregnancies.”

Mel felt her jaw drop and her green eyes widen like saucers; she couldn’t control herself. She had felt apprehensive about undergoing one pregnancy and birth, but the prospect of moving into some kind of a baby farm for years had never even occurred to her.
