Ambush Books is the brainchild of award-winning children’s book author Douglas Rees, his literary agent Laurie McLean, and social media ninja and agent Pam van Hylckama Vlieg. Often their luncheon conversations would involve tales of fabulous classic children’s books that were no longer available for purchase. What a shame! So Ambush Books represents their quest to bring those abandoned treasures out of the dark caves where they’ve been hidden away by publishers in order to share them with the tweens and teens of today.
