EXCERPT:

My trip back home was great, but I could not wait to get back home. I was supposed to stay until Sunday but got on the road Saturday night. I struggled to get in the house and when I opened the door, I heard a familiar voice. “Oh hell no!” I thought to myself. And there he was after all these years. Ja was sitting at the table with Alex talking and eating. He looked up at me and smiled, I was pissed. I couldn’t believe he was here. He jumped up like he was coming to help me, but I rushed pass him and headed to my room. I slammed the door behind me, dropped my things on the floor, and sat on my bed. I was almost in tears. He was so beautiful. He looked so grown up. He now had neat dreads and a little facial hair. I sat there thinking about him as Alex knocked and walked in. I just wasn’t ready for this conversation that we were about to have. She asked me to come back out so we could all talk. I wasn’t really ready to face him after he hurt me so long ago. After her persistence, I finally agreed. It was quiet so, Alex, being Alex, she started up. She turned on the CD player and began singing. She as an awful voice. Ja and I both laughed at her. She got up and headed to the kitchen to finish cleaning up. I guess Ja took that as his cue to get up and sit on the other end of the sofa. As we sat there, we began to reminisce about everything. As I watched him talking, I remembered how soft his lips were when we dated. I had always love the way they felt on my body. I began feeling warm all over, especially down below. He paused for a minute like he was deep in thought. I looked at him and smiled because his breathing had increase a bit. I had always had that effect on him. I was always able to just look at him and the heat seemed to automatically turn up between us. I noticed that he was a little closer to me than before. I moved my hand a little and it brushed against his. He looked up at me from his thoughts somewhat confused. I couldn’t help myself, I was so turned on from the moment I walked into the house and saw him sitting at our kitchen table. I got up from the sofa and stood next to Ja. He looked up at me as I reached my hand out to his. Saying nothing, he stood and held my hand up to his lips and kissed my knuckles. I smiled, walked towards my bedroom and he followed me.
