The book starts with a prologue by Seb Matthews about his views of the greatness of the SharePoint community. Danny Burlage, Office 365 MVP, shares his vision of the new SharePoint release. The first three chapters are written by Jasper Oosterveld and aimed at business/end-users. The first chapter provides an insight in an Extranet scenario with SharePoint Online 2013 and continues with an insight in building communities and the new and improved search engine in SharePoint 2013. René Modery, Office 365 MVP, explores hybrid environments with Office 365 and SharePoint 2013. John Timney, a long time SharePoint MVP, shares his vision in creating a SharePoint 2013 best practice. Paul Becks writes about DTAP best practices with useful installation and configuration tips. Mark Macrae, an BI expert, informs us about the Microsoft’s Business Intelligence strategy.
