The Three Little Pigs (and The Big Bad Wolf) is a classic fairy tale best known from the Joseph Jacobs’ version which first appeared in English Fairy Tales in 1890. The story goes that 3 little pigs leave their mother’s home and venture into the dangerous outside world to seek their fortunes. As they do each pig builds their own home, with varying amounts of effort. When they encounter a big bad wolf their efforts are tested and the little pig who worked the hardest ends up saving the day in the end.
