When Yorian set out from High Forest, he had done so as a King in desperation. There had been no word from the south and his fear was that the Vorsworne Empire had finally taken over. The humans wouldn't have spared many Elves, not when they conquered for the land to ease the crowding in their own. He did not expect to find his friend and fellow King, Fro'dek of Low Marsh near death in the ferns. He certainly didn't expect that saving his friend would nearly take his life, or require that he give up his heart.
