This short story takes the reader forward in time to the XXII century. Simon, a young Norwegian musician, meets an older woman from whom he picks up an inaudible to the human ear cry for help and protection. Since his childhood, Simon experiences recurring vague memories from a previous life. Among them is one of a small child being taken away from him. Thanks to a fortunate coincidence, Simon is able to give a lot of help to this woman that he gets to know. He also gets involved in putting his bandmate's family matters in order. But once an opportunity arises for him to start touring and playing on the world's stages, an unexpected problem appears: the woman he'd met years ago, now his wife, starts suffering from anxiety during his absence from home. This forces Simon to make a decision- should he continue to work as a musician, or stay at home to take special care of his wife. When he hears about the unusual memories his wife has from her childhood, it gives him a clue as to what they had in common in their previous lives and helps him decide what to do.
