READ AN EXCERPT

Someone knocked on the door all of a sudden and Doctor Michael thought it may be Alistair Cummings, the sex surrogate in the office down the hall. Hopefully, he was coming to tell him he needed help on another mission.

“Come on in,” he called out like an excited school boy.

“Hello, Michael?” The door swung open and a beautiful young woman filled the doorway to his office. Michael reeled back in his chair.

“Hi, Michael. Sorry to bother you at work.”

The familiar voice of his ex flooded his brain with bitter sweet memories.

“Steph? What are you doing here?”

“Is this a bad time?”

“No, not at all. What’s up?”

Steph looked around the office. “Wow. I love this building. It must have been a beautiful mansion way back before they turned it into this doctor’s office.”

“Yeah, I love working here. It doesn’t have that sanitary feel of a doctor’s office. It’s much warmer. So, what brings you here?”

“I just wanted to see if you were okay.”

Michael was dumbfounded. “I haven’t stopped thinking about you over the past few weeks. It’s been hard not to reach out, Steph. I miss you. I’m glad you came. Please, take a seat.”

“Yes, talk, yeah, I mean, that would be great!” Michael couldn’t believe she was here. Even though she came across as doing him a favor, he didn’t mind. He’d show her he was different now. He’d win her back.

“I thought you’d given up on me,” he said, “but listen, I’ve changed.”

He noticed her furl her brow in skepticism.

“Really, Steph. I’ve been thinking about things, and I think I can do it. I- I know I can share you.”

He wanted to tell her that, actually, the sex surrogate down the hall took him on as his protégé, and they both had sex with the same woman at the same time. He didn’t just think he could share her, he was sure he could. But telling her meant breaking doctor-patient privilege. He’d also have to explain the breeding, the insemination, and the lactation. He wasn’t quite ready to share those details just yet. He was scared if he told her, he’d
