Follow Sarah and her younger brother as they are forced to deliver their herd of horses to the 7th Cavalry alone.
“Sarah,” Pa said, his voice shaking, “I need you to be strong now. You and Peter, it’s up to you. You need to move the herd east to the 7th. They’re expecting the horses in four days. If they don’t get there, the Cavalry will leave, and you’ll be left with nothing…Sarah…you need to be in charge now, understand? We need that money. You and Peter, Ma and little Janey, you need that money or we’ve got nothing, you understand? You’ve got to… you’ve got to do it, honey. What you do, matters. This is what you need to do.”
They have to deal with Indians, bad guys, a mountain lion and allot of rough country to get through in a short period of time.
