He is First Indian Scientist honoured with the presitigious awards of the University of Ancona, Italy, besides this Dr. Muthuchelian’s recipient of several awards such as ‘Tamil Nadu Best Scientist’ in Environmental Science (1999) and twice “Best Vice-Chancellor Award” by the Indian Red Cross Society.
