The Total Woman devotional focuses on the lives of 52 women of the Bible. Prominence, age and status not-withstanding, these women form an interesting array of individuals whose lives are full of lessons. It has been my long standing desire to study the lives of these notable women.
The devotional will take you on a journey, through the emotions of Hannah, the loyalty of Ruth, and the smell of Mary’s spikenard. These women lived in a different age and culture from the one we presently live in; yet, there is no doubt their struggles and challenges are equally as relevant today as it was in the era, in which they lived. Like you and I, these women were flesh and blood, with faults, passions and virtues.
This devotional brings insight into Sarah’s life and her jealousy of Hagar, Leah’s with her heartache, and Salome’s with her ambition for her sons, Martha’s with her restlessness but good intention. Each woman with her own temperament, peculiarities and problems. These are real women with real issues, often (emotional physiological, spiritual and physical problems), many of which found real faith in a real God, who is well able to move His daughters from a place of problems to a place of solution.
Each week we will look at a different woman; in chronological order from Genesis to Revelation.
