We try to teach them that the world is a place for them to be safe and happy. They, in turn, teach us that nothing lasts forever. We are discouraged sometimes when questions or doubts arise that challenge us in our comfort zone. We live in a world of violence and intolerance. It is difficult to look beyond the hurt that is inflicted on many. In every-day living we are transformed each time we encounter adversity and healed by those who inspire us to persevere. “Parish life is lived five rows back and three seats in”, quoting our friend Jim Tucker. This book title is P. EWE Talk is for the Parish EWE (flock…sheep) that gathers and talks about their life. That’s what liturgy is all about…the word in the pews. It is the five minute moments that we often miss. Dan is a Deacon and the Pastoral Administrator of Holy Spirit Parish. Each week we have a column in our bulletin titled “Journey With Us”. All of these stories are taken from our reflections. They are compiled between our experiences and discussions.
