“Another Face of Evil” is a riveting novel, with turns at every corner and a bombshell ending. It is a continuing sequel of Detective Hunter Blackwell’s life and career. As we left him in “Evil Has Many Faces” he was living in Colby, Texas, but in “Another Face of Evil”, he has come back home to Oak Point, Texas alone, to take his old detective job back. He has been assigned to a case regarding Judge Brown’s granddaughter, Molly who has been abducted.
He also travels to Saratoga Springs, New York on vacation to visit his children and grandchildren that he has not seen in several years. After becoming reacquainted with them, he drives up to Lucerne, Maine to go fishing with an old pal, Carl Sullivan, who gets murdered in the process and leaves a family behind.
It is Hunter’s job to find out who murdered Carl and to convince himself that he was supposed to be the victim and not Carl.
