The following poems will always remain the most important writings in my life, simply because they came at a time when I needed every single line to keep me alive. Poetry may never be as important to me as it was during these desperate times. How I didn't kill myself during the years 1993-1999 is beyond me. At times I felt I was returning from a failed suicide attempt, every morning I opened my eyes.
The following poems may not have the style, grammar or sharpness that poetry may demand, but their innocence speaks volumes...and of course, the meaning, the rhyme and the words reflect the spirit of who I am before this world made me who I will never be. I hope you never become you you are not. It is not worth it. It will never be.
