In November 2011, a banner was raised by Occupy protestors on the Steps of St Paul's Cathedral in the City of London. It bore the legend: 'What Would Jesus Do?'
But what could this possibly mean, and what sort of answer might be given to it? This book is an attempt to find out.
By examining the actual words of Jesus, as recorded in the Gospels, the author traces their implications for contemporary politics and society. There is discussion of what should be the Christian attitude to such matters as wealth, poverty, charity, authority, war, sex and the natural world. In doing so, this book presents the searching scrutiny of contemporary society demanded by the Occupy Movement.
