The Devil's Briar series ends with Victoria setting out to find her uncle. At first, she's convinced he has returned to complete his work. However, she soon learns that she has made a terrible mistake, and that the destruction of the town means she might never be happy again.
Meanwhile, in the present day, Paula is drawn back to Devil's Briar. Her memory is hazy, but she's convinced she has been there before. When Bill suddenly disappears in the middle of the night, Paula discovers that the town is trapped in a loop that looks set to never end.
