A note from the Author: This novella started life as a book for the young reader, in that the main character is a 14 year old boy. Therefore, there is no foul language, no gratuitous violence, and no explicitly adult content. Boring? I sincerely hope not. Even without these elements, I still feel that the book can be read and enjoyed by the young at heart, of all ages.

Having moved to the coast with his mother, to run a guest house, Tom is eager to explore this new, although historic, town. His duties at the guest house, during his summer holidays, bring him into contact with the lovely Joanne, an employee, who is a few years older, and the apple of Tom’s eye.
Whilst exploring, he stumbles across something which will change his life, as well as the lives of the people around him. Who would have thought that a small, inanimate object, could wield such power? This particular object however, is not quite what it would appear to be.
Why is the town suddenly invaded by big black cars with darkened windows, and why do their occupants, as well as others, appear to be searching for something?
