January 7th - now at 134 printed pages, with a lot more content on diet and social activities!

WHY DID I WRITE THIS BOOK?

I want to live forever. There are too many places to visit, too many people to meet, too many ways to impact the world. And not enough time to do it.

I didn't seriously worry about age until I hit maybe 25. Now some of you may be thinking - that's a relatively young age to worry about death. But for those who are like me - in their 20s and 30s and full of plans and hopes and uncertainties about the future - you want as much time as you can get.

As I've gotten older, the effects of aging have become clearer. I can remember that moment when I looked in the mirror and saw noticeable wrinkles on my face. These subtle lines formed the creases of my smile. I was soon seeing them everywhere.

A weekend of drinking was no longer confined to a weekend of drinking. My body hated me on Monday and sometimes Wednesday. After a particularly hard Vegas trip, it took me until Tuesday before I thought, ok, I've got this thing beat. And then I got sick and spent the next 6 days with a mild fever, cough, and body aches.

So I've become obsessed with my health and my quality of life. I want to live forever, and I want to have the highest-quality life while I'm alive. Living to 200 years is pointless if I'm not able to see friends, play sports, write & create. I want to live life!!

Immortality no longer interests the weary old man at all.
-Milan Kundera

WHO IS THIS BOOK FOR?

Anyone who wants to live a longer, more active, more fulfilling life.

I want to answer the question: How Do You Live Forever? And I will be guinea-pigging as many of these answers as is reasonable. I hope to document and share those experiences with you.

I like to push my limits - physical, mental, spiritual. Some experiments may be unproven (like new dietary methods, health diagnostics). I like to think holistically about the quest for immortality.

Extending life by a significant amount (say, 50 years) won't be as simple as running 30 minutes/day and eating 80% of normal-Kevin's daily calories; rather, I expect that a portfolio of methods (some obvious, some non-obvious, some scientifically proven, others nearing quack-science) will be necessary.

WHY SHOULD YOU BUY THIS BOOK?

You're joining me on a journey. It will be a lifelong journey, so don't think of this as just a "book".

It's a quest to find answers to one of life's greatest questions.

We're not alone: from Gilgamesh to Ponce de Leon, from Sumner Redstone to Ray Kurzweil, many people smarter and more successful than I have tackled these questions.

Not only will I frequently update this book (~every 1-2 months), I'll be adding video, audio, and other content. I hope to bring YOU in as an author, as well, by eventually open-sourcing the book's content and allowing the community to make it better.

My ultimate goal is to build a community of people who want to extend their lifespan and are willing to commit their time, energy, and bodies to do it.

Thanks for your time, and talk to you soon!
