An Invitation
My fingers are dancing to the beat of my Heart, the tune of my Soul.
Will you hear me? Do you see me? Can you feel me?
Something bubbles up from deep within.
Bursts onto the page as my word song . . .
one of beauty and of pain, of sadness and of smiles, but always and in every way, inspired by
abounding Joy, profound Awe.
Life continuously plays a Joyous song: sometimes I allow it to sing through me,
to you.
When my fingers dance, I am released.
My seemingly endless mental chatter becomes a combination of words
I didn’t know existed.
Movement of pen to pad that can happen only
when I allow my self-consciousness to dissolve, when I step out of the way,
when my answer to “What will they think?” is
“It doesn’t matter.”
My Soul Song wants to express Itself in countless ways,
one of them being in the form of these words, birthed from the Silence Within.
And, to you, my fellow traveler, my Soul Friend, these words, these phrases, these poetic
meanderings, are my outstretched arm
inviting you to dance on the pages of Life with me . . .
Individually, Together,
as One.
