In the distant future, humankind has vanished, replaced by a new race – the race of Elves.
To the Elves, where innate abilities reveal themselves in flames bursting from their bodies, where all is governed by the will of the First, mighty ruler of the Elves, and that will made known by the most powerful of creatures, the Elders, humans are right to be almost extinct, for humans are monsters that destroyed all they had in the name of greed and love.
For the young Elf Arauna, the world makes sense. Raised in the White City, great first landmark of the Elves, by the Priest Orfeo, she knows that she is destined by the first for greatness.
But when she is sent on a quest to reach her destiny, Arauna is forced to travel with Tiras, a wild and unruly Elf with no respect for authority. As they set out on their journey, Arauna is faced with a world much darker than she was told existed – a world filled with secrets, outcasts and humans.
