This is a FULL LENGTH, 130,000 word, 303 page, 4-book novel which spans 14 years of the main character's life.

Destiny Mira was the typical, outgoing, popular teen who enjoyed cheerleading, strolling through the mall on weekends with friends and sharing a comfortable home with her single mom. Her life is quickly turned upside down when her mother succumbs to cancer and she is sent to live with her only living relative, an aunt who does not want her, in a primitive, isolated Appalachian town in West Virginia. Destiny is faced with the harsh reality that another alien world exists outside the all-American, harmonious life she must leave behind following her mother's death. She enters a backwoods, uneducated community with dark secrets as deep as the lush mountain valleys surrounding the old, rundown cabin she shares with her Aunt Lydia, a rugged and weathered old mountain woman. Destiny soon learns that her mother's attempt to leave this primitive world behind and make a better life for herself and her daughter was All For Nothing, for Destiny finds herself in the same harsh environment her mother struggled to escape in her own youth.

Deep in the remote Appalachian mountains of West Virginia is a town called Oakley that rests beneath Tucker's Mountain. It is as far removed from civilization and modern existence as one can imagine. It is inhabited with mountain people whose education is minimal and whose ideas are deeply seeded in the old folklores, superstitions and traditions handed down for generations. These mountain people are reclusive, distrusting and resentful of strangers. In the beginning, Destiny hates her new environment and is bitter toward her life on Tucker's Mountain until she meets an older man with whom she falls in love. She later discovers his past is filled with deep, dark secrets that engulf and threaten to destroy their relationship. Their life together overcomes many obstacles and tragedies only to end with a shocking and sudden conclusion.
