Some days it just didn't pay to get out of bed. At least that's the way Jerry felt about life lately. It was an effort to swing his legs off the bed and sit up, let alone stand up and walk to the kitchen sink. It's funny how differently you look at life when a series of events turn on you and make your life meaningless. At the end of his rope, Jerry decides to end it all, but how. He hasn't enough courage to do the deed himself, so he decides to get a job in an all-night mini mart in a dangerous section of town. Then, sooner or later, some crook would come in, rob the place and hopefully shoot Jerry. Sounds easy...but it's not.
