Joel Hitchcock shares some insights into the subjects of revival and great awakening in the end times. He draws from several historic events such as the great South African revival (Andrew Murray,) the First and Second Great Awakenings (Jonathan Edwards, David Brainerd, John Wesley, George Whitefield and Charles Finney,) and a series of moves of God such as the Irish, Welch, Azusa and Hebrides revivals. Though he calls His own experiences as a youth and later on in his ministry "pale" compared with these historical moves of God, he also shares them with his readers in an effort to induce what he calls a hunger for a mighty move of God. He also deals with some Scriptures that he feels have been unfairly used to negate an end time revival. This book is as much easy reading as it is a must read for those who long for a great revival and awakening in our days.
