HOSEA MARRIES GOMER - Leslie John

HOSEA MARRIES GOMER

Leslie John
Amazon Digital Services LLC , English

This book deals with God’s dealings with Israel and their unfaithful towards Him. The Northern Kingdom which was predominantly led by Jeroboam and the tribe of Ephraim drifted away from God’s commandments and worshipped other gods. God considered their unfaithfulness as spiritual adultery. Gomer, who became prostitute and later another man’s possession, was bought by Hosea at a price and loved her. God promised to restore them. God resurrected Israel as a Nation; yet many are yet to accept Jesus Christ as their Messiah. They will receive Promised Land in full, in the Millennium. The Church is the chaste virgin of Lord Jesus Christ and distinct from Israel. Salvation is given to us, who were enemies to God, and we are promised an everlasting life to be with Lord Jesus Christ, for ever and ever. The Church, is the Chaste virgin of Lord Jesus Christ and not to be confused with Israel.God said to Prophet Hosea to marry Gomer, a woman, from the family of Prostitutes. Israel had become unfaithful to God and was divided into to two kingdoms. The northern kingdom was ruled by Jeroboam, and the southern kingdom was ruled by Rehoboam (1Kings 12:13, 14 and 1Kings 12:25-29). The northern kingdom consisted of the ten tribes of Israelites, and the southern kingdom consisted of the tribe of Judah, and the tribe of Benjamin. The tribe of Levi, who were priests, got assimilated into both the regions. Later many from northern kingdom, who were loyal to king David, migrated to the southern kingdom. This book has the details of how God loved Israel even though they were unfaithful to Him. Turn, O backsliding children, saith the LORD; for I am married unto you: and I will take you one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you to Zion: (Jeremiah 3:14)For though thy people Israel be as the sand of the sea, yet a remnant of them shall return: the consumption decreed shall overflow with righteousness. (Isaiah 10:22)
