Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.
Audio-Digest Psychiatry is specifically designed to provide the participant with useful and up-to-date information on accurate diagnosis and appropriate management in all types of psychiatric disorders, including, but not limited to:

Dementia, delirium, amnesia, and other cognitive disorders
Geriatric psychiatry
Mental disorders in childhood and adolescence
Mood disorders
Multiaxial illnesses
Personality disorders
Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders
Sexual disorders and paraphilias
Sleep disorders
Substance-related disorders
The goal of this program is to improve the management of eating disorders (ED). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Anticipate upcoming changes to the criteria and classification associated with various EDs in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (Fifth Edition).
2: Assess the applicability of study data on medication for EDs, based on typical patient populations and efficacy.
3: Identify the best treatments to restore healthy weight and emotional well-being in patients with anorexia nervosa.
4: Reduce binging in patients with bulimia nervosa and binge eating disorder through the use of pharmacotherapies.
5: Address obesity associated with binging behaviors.
