Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve the management of bacterial and viral infectious diseases in children. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1: Identify specific organisms and clinical settings in which antibiotic resistance patterns are changing.
2: Choose appropriate antibacterial therapy based on antibiotic resistance patterns.
3: Employ strategies to decrease antimicrobial and antiviral resistance.
4: Use rapid diagnostic testing appropriately for common respiratory and other pathogens.
5: Recognize the economic benefits of rapid diagnostic testing.
