Jahn, AKA Captain Hook, AKA tyr_shadowblade.Many, many, many years ago, back when the interwebz was still new, myself and a few friends decided to form an online “Literary & Philosophical Society” we dubbed the “Righteous Warrior Temple.” Within a few years we had nearly a hundred members and issued patches and handbooks and did other stupid things which brought us to the attention of the feds as a possible “subversive” organization. After a couple of somewhat alarming incidents, we decided to disband and destroy the membership list, but as the “Director” I paid out of my own pocket to keep the website up and running in order to preserve some of the data therein, chiefly this huge accumulation of quotes which were compiled over the course of about five years. The website had been online since 1999 and it is now 2012 . . . as nothing had been added to it in quite some time and I’m unable to edit it due to some odd computer glitch, it is time for that website to finally fade into the ether.Anyhow, this Kindle edition contains nearly all of the original online quotes. These quotes are public domain, open source, so I’m only charging the minimum of .99 cents for this massive accumulation of wisdom, which is approximately 350 pages. If you read it in its entirety, I guarantee a few quotes will resonate with you, answer an unasked question, or even change the way you perceive the world or your place in it . . . and I think you’ll benefit from this. A few other quotes you will surely disagree with, if not be shocked or angered by, and that’s to be expected as well – in some cases these quotes come from individuals at the extreme edges of the human experience, and the rawness and even ugliness of their words does not invalidate them. As a bonus, I’m also including a few favorite essays: “The Protection Dog.” “Martial Arts Mythology,” “Ode to a Scattergun,” and the classic “Gorilla Punch.” Trust me, this eBook is well worth a dollar.
