Connor came back with a glass of water, and I drank it nervously, still kneeling on the floor. I wondered if I was finished.

I tried to smile. “So, do I still have my job?”

“If you still want it.” Connor was watching me, trying to find something in my face. “Of course, though you’ve begged for forgiveness, I still have to punish you.”

“I thought - I thought I could keep my job.”

Connor smiled. “A different kind of punishment. What I’ve wanted to do since our first interview.”

“Do you remember what I said I wanted to do?”

I looked at the floor. “Yes,” I said softly.

“What was that?”

“You said…” my voice was barely a whisper and I managed to say, “You wanted to spank me. Hard.”
