Common Sense on the Net and Clou... - John Brooks

Common Sense on the Net and Cloud

With the gold rush to store and backup data online we tend to listen to others that make a living in the industry and ignore common sense, placing our data as well as personal information at risk. This book is simply written as a quick one stop place to raise awareness to the flaws that we often overlook on the web as well as guide others into being a bit more caustious with the information placed online. Included are some sections for general use as well as getting rid of a rogue root kit that has been infecting PC's for years and often thwarts the best anti virus software. Again I state this is as simplified as it gets and is only meant to raise a few eyebrows and was written in part based on issues that are brought to my attention on a weekly basis when it comes to PC maintenance. Not every issue means you have a virus and this book will expose where some of the most common problems come from. If one person reflects on a similar instance and learns something from this book then the time it took to write it was well worth it.
