FIND ME IN THE SPIRIT

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart. Jeremiah 29:13

Your "Supernatural" Worth

This might be the most important question you'll ever ask yourself:

How much am I really worth?

I'm not talking about your earthly wealth, stock portfolio or real estate investments.

I'm not talking about other people's opinions about your value as a person, your earthly achievements or relationships.

I'm not talking about your rate of success or failure in life.

I am talking about the real "you," -the childlike spirit that hasn't yet grown old or tired of living, despite many difficult challenges. The "you" that God chose before the foundation of the world was formed, before there ever were such things as stock portfolios or 401(k)s. Just think about it! All the talents, gifts, and heavenly treasure that He has poured within you, were purposed before the invention of clocks or money. Think about all that God has planted within you.

Everything that God has created is good. Everything in this world was created by God. So, the quick and easy answer to the question "what am I really worth?" is simple. You are good. You are good, because God has created you. He said it, and I believe it! Good in God's eyes is good enough for me, Amen?

He is so sovereign that he simply spoke light into existence, and it was imparted to this earth. And, marvelously, it has remained, to this day. I am thoroughly sold on God! The Bible teaches us that God never fails in three key areas of our lives: First, He will watch over His word to perform it; second, He will not allow it to return unto Him void; and third, His word will accomplish that which He sent it to do. Isn't God amazing? Isn't He thoroughly awesome? I marvel at His wondrous works that we can see every day. He hung the earth on nothing. He stretched the north out over the empty place. He put the stars in their places (individually!) and they are still there. If God can do such great and mighty works, I feel certain that He can and He will take care of me. He is "Supercalifrad-U-Lis-Tic-Ex-Pe-Ali-Dosis!" (And then some!)

It is truly amazing that God chose you and me to be in His Life because He desired to share His Love and His Glory with us. Because He sent His Son (Jesus Christ) to redeem us from the curse of an eternal separation and death, He sees past our faults and imperfections; He sees in us the face of His Son. Because of Jesus' willingness to shed His blood at the cross, God has declared us whole, --legally whole. Yet, we sometimes say, "Hey, I sure don't feel so 'whole!'

According to His Word, we are whole, but each person must find the path to walk into this wonderful life of wholeness. Again, we say, "What kind of path is it? Can I see it, touch it, and sense it?" God is not the author of confusion.

For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 1 Corinthians 14:33

He has given us a physical body, with five terrific senses. He has given us a wonderful mind, a soul with mental abilities beyond scientific measure. Yet, above all else, He has given us a spirit. It is this spirit that belongs to God, which yearns and longs to be developed. Yet, this is the very part of our life in Christ that often is left unattended or locked away.

We spend countless numbers of hours and dollars going to the gym to develop our muscles and slenderize our figures. And, in spite of our efforts, the gym will take our bodies only so far, and then, the law of gravity takes over! However, this is not the case when it comes to the spirit within us. The Bible says that God continually allows the Holy Spirit to "woo us and brood over us."

O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children togeth
