Dump Your Problems! is a masterful, witty satire written about the world, all from the eyes of a Young Pakistani Man who calls himself "Ernest Dempsey" (after the famed author of the same name). As a native of Pakistan, author Ernest Dempsey (better known to his friends by his real name, Karim Khan) has witnessed violence and civil unrest literally in his own backyard and instead of raging against the machine or becoming upset with his daily reality, he created this book to show how humor can be found even in the most dire of circumstances. What's more, Dump Your Problems! pokes fun at everything by reading like a newspaper on crack, or like listening to a news broadcaster who prefers to remain just as anonymous as the author himself. Overall, the book offers anyone a chance to look at the world with a pair of very funny eyes, and what Ernest has to say about the world is at the same time, not just humorous, but poignant too. Especially when you consider this author is from Pakistan, where American perceptions may be somewhat skewed in light of the past decade following 9/11. Ernest is an experienced author, having published four books prior to this one, and he does his best work when injecting a dose of satire right alongside a dose of reality with this incredible collection of news bits and other strange segments ranging from book reviews to discussions between conundrums. A powerful read indeed.
