Volume 11. He awakens in a strange place, with little in his memory. He knows his name is Eric, that he is on a ship, and that he belongs there. But he doesn’t know where the ship is sailing. After a little exploring, and meeting the mind of the ship, Athena, he finds that the Legion isn’t a ship on the seas of earth, but in the black ocean of space. He is so far from home, in not only distance, but time. Somehow, he has traveled through time, but with no memory of the trip, or why him. After a little misadventure, he meets up with his foster sister, whom he hasn’t seen for a dozen years, but who hasn’t seen him for over seven centuries. His foster sister is none other than Aurora Smyth, who gives him a mission, the reason that she brought him from the year 2012, to the year 2720. This mission is dangerous, and it could kill him, but really, that isn’t as big a shock to Eric as he thought, considering his foster sister removed him from his own time moments before he would have been burned to death in a car accident. Will he succeed? Will he ask to be returned to his car fire, or will he choose to live in the future?
