This book was written as a result of my first book I ever wrote. This was written in Afrikaans, my home language. While spending time with the Lord one morning, I suddenly had this urge to translate it into English to make it accessible to a broader range of people.
Over a five-year period, the Lord spoke to me nearly exclusively about Israel and what they had to do to get to Canaan. This book uses them as an example for us to follow if we want to get to our Canaan, a life in complete harmony with the LORD. The LORD promises us in Jeremiah 30, that we would inherit Canaan one day. Jeremiah 30: 2-3: “Thus speaketh Jehovah, the God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book. 3 For, lo, the days come, saith Jehovah, that I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith Jehovah; and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.”
This passage was the main inspiration to write this book, as I believe that we all would like to come into Canaan, but not only come into it, but to possess it. This book builds on this idea and guides you as Moses did to Israel, in how to get there.
I trust that the Holy Spirit will be with you while you work through this book, and that He will open your eyes in a way never before experienced.
There are many places where I ask some very pertinent questions, or ask you to write some verses down in your journal. Please do this, as you will be amazed at what you will learn from this.
