Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

The goal of this program is to improve surgical techniques for hip and knee arthroplasty. After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1:Discuss the relevance of a national registry and its potential impact on joint replacement surgery.
2: Describe the types of periprosthetic fractures and explain the appropriate treatment for each type.
3: Explain the role of femoral anteversion in predicting outcome of total hip arthroplasty.
4: List the benefits of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty over total knee arthroplasty.
5: Summarize the problems associated with cementless fixation in total knee arthroplasty.
