David Russell arrived in Africa with his two grown, adopted sons, Ashley and Hunter. They were there to share experiences. His earlier life while growing up in Africa was completely different from what the boys knew of their dad. The boys were waiting for David to clear customs when they saw a leper selling Chicklets outside the airport terminal. At first Ashley thought it was funny, comparing the scene to Mexico, but Hunter immediately saw the stubby arm, discolored skin and they knew they were in a new country. By the time their father arrived with an old Land Rover to pick-up boys and luggage, the boys were wondering why he had brought them to this horrid ‘other world’ place. The people were deformed. The place stank to high heaven. They had been accosted by several dull looking people trying to take their luggage. When dad rolled up in the Land Rover saying how beautiful it was here, they looked at each other and thought he must have been hit on the head while getting the car.As they drove to the hotel both boys realize not only is this place different than anything they have known, but their father is also. As they are introduced to the David Russell of African revolution, they see ‘those people’, a strange no emotion brutal, other kind of person. But this is just the beginning of their trip, they will encounter a sub-species, find the loves of their lives, establish a new business, and realize their lives can expand beyond even their expectations.
