MILLIE has been having an affair. She tries to end the liaison but is addicted to the excitement. It is an obsession that she cannot control so she seeks the help of the professionals and enrols in Adulterers Anonymous.Adulterers Anonymous is a self-help group for people committing the act of infidelity. During the first meeting Millie is placed with a small group of people who have all been unfaithful. There is an instant release in being able to voice her hopes and fears and Millie feels she is no longer alone in her plight.The weekly meetings become her release and the sanctuary she needs. She soon becomes engrossed in the lives of the others in her group as hidden emotions and anxieties are unravelled for everyone. With a network of people to offer advice and support, Millie begins to feel more confident however, just before she finds the courage to end her affair, she discovers her lover is being less than honest with her. This leaves Millie, yet again, questioning her judgment. Deep routed issues are uncovered and Millie is reminded of relinquished dreams and of the lack of support from her family, which spark off the insecurities she felt as a child.Whilst on the rocky road of self-discovery a sordid family secret is revealed. Everything that was once stable, falls apart.
