Romantic mystery thriller.

Carole Wilson is happy living in her own little world, doing her own thing. She works as a part-time gardener for an old man who lives alone in a cottage on the outskirts of a small village and it suits her just fine.
The old man is happy to leave her to her own devices. As long as the gardens are well maintained and the swimming pool is clean, he lets her do as she wants and they rarely meet. She troubles no one and no one troubles her, which is just as well because, being pig-headed and stubborn, she doesn’t like being told what to do.
When the old man suddenly dies, Carole’s world is turned upside-down, and she fears for the job she loves. She has strange feelings since the old man’s death. So, what is playing games with her mind?
Then the new owner of the cottage turns up.
There is always a problem trying to form a relationship from scratch, even more so when both parties are introverts, both are unable to hold meaningful conversations with people they don’t know, and are unwilling to be submissive, neither liking to be told what to do.
Both Carole’s and David’s worlds are slow, boring, and pretty uneventful – until they meet.
What happens when two introverts collide? They’re like two magnets, continually repelling each other. Will these two ever get together?
In the meantime, there's something weird and rather sinister going on in the background of Carole’s world.

The worst thing about being the subject is, not knowing you are the subject.
