1: Become involved in the political process of health care reform to ensure the best interests of patients are met.
2: Fulfill his or her ethical responsibility to engage in activities that contribute to the improvement of his or her community.
3: Summarize the models of health care payments and delivery systems due to be tested and initiated with implementation of the PPACA.
4: Track and evaluate upcoming Medicare demonstrations through use of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website.
5: Assess the short-term impact of the PPACA on the care of older patients.
