Purpose: Audio-Digest Foundation CME/CE activities are designed to provide its learners – physicians and other healthcare professionals – with continuing education that will help identify clinical problems in their practice settings, provide content to help to solve those problems, and increase their application of knowledge to practice.

Educational Objectives
The goal of this program is to improve the recognition and treatment of combat-related posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). After hearing and assimilating this program, the clinician will be better able to:
1. Preserve fitness for duty in patients receiving medication for PTSD.
2. Recommend nonpharmacologic alternatives proven to reduce symptoms of PTSD.
3. Identify potential risk factors for suicide in military personnel.
4. Consider the use of therapy animals in the treatment of patients with PTSD.
5. Reduce unwanted re-experiencing of traumatic memories through therapies involving limited exposure.
