Generally, students experience math vocabulary in a classroom setting. Worksheets, textbooks, and word walls are often utilized to communicate math vocabulary. This ebook combines verbal, visual, and kinesthetic teaching strategies in order for students as young as kindergarten to understand key math vocabulary words. Educational research suggests that learning through movement helps increase understanding and may benefit students. Each vocabulary word in this ebook contains an image of a movement associated with a math vocabulary word. A short kid-friendly definition is written underneath the vocabulary word. Teachers, feel free to utilize this ebook, movements, and definitions as you see fit. Feel free to add additional movements and definitions if you desire. If needed, teachers may want to create their own classroom book of math movements. An extra template is found near the end of this book for teacher use. The movements become especially memorable if they can be incorporated into class games.
