I started writing this as a way to relieve frustration near the end of our long winter, but as I wrote I thought about the people I come into contact with that moved here with expectations that didn't materialize. Some toughed it out, some moved away. I'm not sure which was the better option. Do I admire someone for toughing it out when they'd be happier somewhere else? I don't know. But are they quitters for leaving? For anyone considering moving to Montana this might be interesting reading. The chapters include Climate, Gardening, Recreation, Economy, People, and a collection of misc. other things. I’d like to stress that these comments and opinions are just MY comments and opinions, based on my experiences here, and how they relate to who I am, what I like, and what I hope(d) for. Some of the people leaving reviews on this book are not happy that my book is "negative". Look at the title... It's called "Why I hate it here". That is what you can expect to read about. There's no punch line. There's no section on what I like about living here. Please...think about that before you buy, and if you do buy, consider the quality of my writing, not just whether you agree with the subject matter. This book is my opinions and my feelings. I don't speak for anyone else. I think the book is well written, and it was enjoyed by many family, friends, and neighbors before I published it. They know me as a fun-loving person, not a whiner, and were able to read it in the right perspective. Yes, I very much dislike (HATE!!!) living here, and writing this book was a blast! I love my husband more than I hate living here, and he loves living here, so I won't take that away from him.Now... buy it and enjoy it, or please select something else to buy! Thank you!August 2012: The sequel is now out! "What I Don't Hate About Living Here: Life in NW Montana". Available here on Amazon for Kindle.
